Tuesday, April 21st Aging Well Durham and the Durham County Library are hosting our 3rd technology drop-ins from 2-3:30pm at our office – 1209 North Elizabeth Street. If you have questions about using electronic devices and apps or connecting to online resources – stop-by to receive one on one support!

Saturday, April 25th: 10am-noon – It is time for the Shred-A-Thon and Medication Take Back at Senior PharmAssist (406 Rigsbee Ave). Bring your documents that need to be safely disposed of and medication you no longer need. Volunteers will be available to help with boxes. If you have questions, please call 919-688-4772.

April 30th and May 1st – 3rd Annual Durham Community Health Worker Networking Event. Join us for the 3rd Annual Community Health Worker Networking Event for Durham County. This is a two-day celebration and opportunity for paid or volunteer Community Health Workers (or similar roles) to network and learn. This year the event will take place at Durham Technical Community College. Day 1 (Thursday, April 30th) is 9am- 5pm and Day 2 (Friday, May 1st) is 9:30-4pm, breakfast will begin at 8:45am. This year our theme is Knowledge to Action: Building Resilience, Strengthening Community.
Day 1 is dedicated to training, and day 2 is dedicated to networking. This event is open to those who are currently serving in Durham County with any organization. The information collected below will only be used internally to advocate for CHW workforce growth in Durham County.

30 de abril y 1 de mayo – 3er Evento Anual de Redes para Promotores de Salud del Condado de Durham. Acompáñanos al 3er Evento Anual de Redes para Promotores de Salud del Condado de Durham. Esta es una celebración de dos días y una oportunidad para que los Promotores de Salud (o roles similares), ya sean remunerados o voluntarios, establezcan contactos y aprendan. Este año, el evento se llevará a cabo en Durham Technical Community College. El jueves 30 de abril (Día 1) será de 9:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m. y el viernes 1 de mayo (Día 2) de 9:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m. El desayuno comenzará a las 8:45 a.m. Este año nuestro tema es: Del Conocimiento a la Acción: Construyendo Resiliencia, Fortaleciendo la Comunidad.
El Día 1 está dedicado a la capacitación y el Día 2 está dedicado al establecimiento de redes. Este evento está abierto a todas las personas que actualmente prestan servicios en el Condado de Durham con cualquier organización. La información recopilada se utilizará únicamente de manera interna para abogar por el crecimiento de la fuerza laboral de Promotores de Salud (CHW) en el Condado de Durham.

There will be a complimentary breakfast, stories, demos and every guest will receive a gift. Everyone Eats. Durham Campaign – In Durham County, thousands of families are struggling to put food on the table. Everyone Eats. Durham is a local campaign to raise funds for our neighborhood food pantries working tirelessly to ensure no one goes hungry.
